    Current draft of the guidelines developed in response to legislation passed at the 2008 General Assembly Session requiring the State Executive Council to oversee the development and implementation of mandatory uniform guidelines for intensive care coordination services for children who are at risk of entering, or are placed in, residential care through the Comprehensive Services Act program. Lead agency for development of the Guidelines for Intensive Care Coordination is the Virginia Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance Abuse Services.
